Description
Fossa Rou Gui tea chocolate incorporates a Chinese oolong into a craft chocolate base. It showcases the distinctive mineral complexity of traditional rock tea.
Craft & Origin
Fossa sources Rou Gui tea from the Wuyi Mountains in Fujian Province, a region famed for mineral-rich soils. Rou Gui translates to “cinnamon,” referencing the tea’s natural aromatic profile. The leaves undergo traditional charcoal roasting within the Zhengyan core area before being stone ground into the chocolate during refining. This technical integration preserves the pristine essence of the tea leaf without utilizing external oils or flavor extracts.
Flavor & Texture
Notes of sharp cinnamon and toasted wood. The texture is smooth.
How to Use
Allow a single square to melt slowly on the tongue to release the tea’s aromatics. Pair with toasted almonds or aged spirits.
