From the Beni region of Bolivia, this rare heirloom cacao offers a deeply rich dark chocolate with subtle notes of honey, cream and molasses.
Germany native Volker Lehman owns and runs the Tranquilidad estate in the Beninano region. There, he cultivates and ferments unaltered wild cacao found in remote areas of the region. The Heirloom Beniano cacao used for this chocolate contains about 10% more cacao butter and more flavor than most hybrid beans, yielding a naturally creamier chocolate.
